Seven numbers tell you everything about your cash position: cash on hand, AR aging by bucket, payroll due in 30 days, largest upcoming expense, your DSO, your reserve balance, and a 60-day forward estimate. If you can answer all seven without opening three apps, you have cash clarity. If you're guessing at more than two, you're running on intuition — and intuition doesn't make payroll.
